ABOUT
In fairy stories, tree spirits speak, birds are helpful messengers, and truth is stronger than deceit.
This "magic" lives, for me, in quiet, wondrous moments making vivid contact with nature.

Perhaps rooted-ones, winged-ones, four-legged ones, water, stones, wind, rain, and sunshine are always speaking with us...as we reawaken our capacity to listen.
My background is in teaching storytelling through performing arts (dance, theater, and circus arts) and careful observation of nature through classroom biology.
Learning how other careful observers, like botanists, make observations has also opened my eyes to more and more miraculous details in nature and I'm grateful to all of my teachers.
Completing a Master's degree in Plant and Soil Science reawakened my love of drawing—as sketching out the native plants I was learning about was the most effective way to remember details about them. My mother is a career graphic designer, so I grew up around detailed attention to art.

Through my art, I endeavor to be of service in terms of environmental education -and- creating imagery that invites the possibility of experiencing a connection with nature that feels like an awakening.
How do you tune in to the harmony of Creation?
Blessings on all your nature adventures—from visiting with giant, old trees up in the mountains to curious creatures in the sea.
